UTS (Unreserved Ticket System) machines have been installed at 308 stations. 75 public ticket booking servants have been deployed at 24 stations and ticket booking agents have been deployed at 261 stations. ATVMs have been installed at 74 stations.
Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, said that UTS machines have been installed at the stations of Lucknow, Varanasi and Izzatnagar divisions. With this, passengers will not have to stand in queues for tickets. It became easy to book tickets through UTS app from mobile also.
Now passengers can easily book tickets by scanning the QR code installed at the stations. QR code facility has been provided at 146 stations. 107 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) have also been installed at 74 stations to provide unreserved tickets. Passenger Ticket Facilitation Centers have been opened at 35 centres.
