How to book unreserved train ticket: If you travel by train, now a new facility has been made available for you. Yes, Indian Railways has given the facility to railway passengers to buy unreserved train tickets (general tickets) from their phones. This means passengers can now book general tickets from their phones from anywhere. Railway passengers can buy unreserved, platform and season tickets for all trains from the UTS mobile app.

Let us tell you that UTS app is available for download on Google Play Store.

If you want that you do not have any kind of tension during the journey, then you can book tickets through the app in the manner given below.

Stop 1: First of all, sign up in the app and register by entering your details. Along with this, recharge your R-Wallet also. This wallet can be recharged through UPI, Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. On recharging R-Wallet, users of UTS app will automatically get a bonus of 3 percent.

Step 2: To book a train ticket, first select either paperless or paper option.

Step 3: After this select ‘Depart from’ station and then select ‘Going to’ station.

Step 4: After proceeding further, you will see ‘Get fare’ option. Click on it and select the option of Pay Fare from your R-wallet amount. If you want, you can also choose other payment options like UPI, Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.

Step 5: By selecting ‘show ticket’ option on the UTS app, you will be able to view the ticket. You can also print paper tickets using the booking ID provided in the UTS app.

It is worth noting that cancellation of paperless tickets is not allowed. With the ‘Show Ticket’ feature visible in the app, users can show their ticket to the TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner).
