During the Corona period, some passenger trains were made special trains and their fares were also increased. But even after Corona ended, passengers were being charged more fare.
Railways Fare Reduced: Now good news has come for the railway passengers who have been paying higher fares in trains since the Corona period. People traveling in passenger trains will have to pay less than Rs 30 fare and will be able to travel in these trains at less money. In fact, even after the end of the Corona period, additional charges had to be paid in 6 passenger trains running in Malda division. These trains were given the status of special trains and hence their fare was increased by Rs 30. From the Corona period till today, people had to travel with this additional fare only. But now Railways has removed the extra charge, after which common people will be able to get its benefits.
Passengers will no longer have to pay extra fare
To travel from Jamalpur to Bhagalpur, people had to pay a fare of Rs 35 in these special passenger trains. Whereas the passenger train fare from Bhagalpur to Jamalpur is only Rs 15. Similarly, one had to pay Rs 30 fare from Jamalpur to Kiul, whereas the fare for the passenger train from Jamalpur to Kiul is only Rs 15. People also had to pay Rs 50 for the fare from Jamalpur to Saharsa. However, now Railways has removed all the additional charges. Now people will get a chance to travel at the actual fare only.
Fares of these trains have been reduced
According to the information received from the commercial department of Malda Railway Division, a total of 6 pairs of special trains running till Jamalpur via Sahibganj Loop Line of Malda Railway Division were being operated. In which 05415/05416 Sahibganj-Jamalpur Passenger, 05407/05408 Gaya-Rampurhat-Gaya Passenger, 03459/03460 Jamalpur-Bhagalpur Passenger, 03477/03478 Jamalpur-Kiul Passenger, 03015/03016 Jamalpur-Gaya Passenger and 05509/05510. Jamalpur-Saharsa- The fare of Jamalpur passenger train has been reduced. Now passengers will be able to travel in these trains by paying less than Rs 30 fare.
