Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled: Many trains have been affected since 6 coaches of a goods train derailed in Palghar, Maharashtra on Tuesday, 28 May. Western Railway has canceled some local trains of Mumbai for today i.e. 29 May. While the routes of many trains are diverted.
According to Western Railway, Mumbai’s Dahanu Road-Panvel-Vasai Road, Vasai Road-Panvel-Vasai Road and Vasai Road-Panvel-Dahanu Road trains have been completely canceled. Western Railway has released the list of canceled trains through its official X handle.

When and how did the accident happen?
According to Western Railway, the up line of Mumbai-Surat section has been affected due to derailment of 6 wagons of a goods train and a BVG at point number 117/118 in Palghar yard at around 5.10 pm on Wednesday. Iron wire bundles (iron coils) were loaded on the goods train. When the coaches derailed, the wire bundles also fell on the track. There have been no casualties in this incident but many trains of Western Railway have been affected.
Trains running between Mumbai and Gujarat have been particularly affected. According to the Railways, work is being done to repair this line. Also, efforts are being made to restore traffic on the affected line.
