Railways issued a big update regarding general ticket payment, check immediately

Railway Rules: Now there will be no compulsion to keep cash at the railway station to buy tickets, nor will there be any hassle of change. From April 1, the facility of digital payment will start at all the stations of Ajmer division including Udaipur.

General Ticket Payment Rules: Now there will be no compulsion to keep cash at the railway station to buy tickets, nor will there be any hassle of change. From April 1, the facility of digital payment will start at all the stations of Ajmer division including Udaipur. That is, if the passenger does not have cash then he can buy the ticket by making online payment.

Till now, the transaction for purchasing tickets at the unreserved and reservation counters of most of the stations is done in cash only. Apart from this, there is a provision for payment through cash only in other facilities including parcel office, parking, refreshment room. However, digital payment facility is available at reservation counter, luggage room, refreshment room, parking and vendors at Udaipur City station.

Booking of unreserved tickets and parcels is being done in cash only.

Having an online payment system at the booking counter will save the staff from the problem of collecting and managing cash and matching it. This will make the entire system transparent. Nowadays, many times complaints of misappropriation of money come to the fore. Passengers will also get tickets in less time and will get relief from long queues at the counter.

Digital payment started at 38 stations of Ajmer division

Senior DCM of Ajmer Division Sunil Mahala said that QR codes will be pasted at all the stations by March 31. At present digital payment has started at 38 stations. With this, passengers will be able to pay the fare through UPI (Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pay) at unreserved ticket counters. For this, QR code is being generated by the Center for Railway Information System for digital payment at the counters. Staff will be given training for this at stations. Along with this, TTE will also be able to collect fine online from passengers without ticket at the station through QR code in hand held device.
