With the approval of the operations department, the change has been implemented with immediate effect. Due to this, while the numbers of the trains have changed, the fares have also reduced.
Actually, the average speed of these trains decreased due to increased stoppages. Due to reduced speed, the trains were running like express even after being superfast. In view of this, the operations department has issued an order to convert the trains from superfast to express.
Fare reduced
After becoming express, the superfast charge on the tickets of these trains will be removed. This will lead to savings ranging from Rs 15 to Rs 75. The superfast charge is different for each category. The charge on general ticket is Rs 15 while for first AC it is Rs 75 per passenger.
