Railways New Rules: Big news for railways passenger! Railways will implement a new rule regarding window tickets

Those traveling by train with window tickets will no longer have to fear losing the ticket nor will they have to worry about paying half the money to get the ticket made. Like e-tickets, there is preparation to validate mobile messages in window tickets also.

Window Train Ticket: There is good news for passengers taking window tickets. Passengers will not need to save the ticket till the journey. Like IRCTC e-ticket, window ticket will also be valid on mobile message. With this, passengers will neither have the fear of losing their ticket nor will they have to worry about paying half the money to get the ticket made. Preparations are on to start this system soon.

In fact, many important changes are going to happen with the introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence) system in reservation. One of the important changes will be regarding the ticketing system. At present, tickets booked through IRCTC are valid only on message. Similarly, on taking ticket from the Railway Reservation Counter, a message will be sent to the mobile on which the journey will be valid.

The most convenient thing with the change in this system will be that there will be no fear of the ticket getting lost, torn or left out. At present, if the window ticket is lost and is waiting, then leave alone the journey, passengers will not even get a refund without the ticket. Even if the berth is confirmed and the ticket is lost, you will still have to pay 50 percent of the fare and get a duplicate ticket issued.

30% ticket booking through PRS

At present, IRCTC has the highest number of ticket bookings. IRCTC has 70 percent share in the total reservation booking while the share of tickets issued from railway counters is 30 percent. Actually, even after preparation of railway ticket counter chart, if it is in the waiting list, it does not get canceled automatically. Whereas in e-ticket, if the waiting ticket is not confirmed, it gets canceled automatically.
