Railways is working on eliminating the queues at the ticket windows of railway stations. Soon railway passengers will be able to book tickets through QR code. Earlier, the facility of ticket booking through UTS has been started.
Now passengers will not need to stand in long queues for tickets at Bareilly Junction. Railways is going to start the facility of booking train tickets by scanning QR code at 12 stations including Bareilly Junction, Shahjahanpur of Moradabad Railway Division. The service will start in Bareilly by December.
Railways is working to eliminate the lines at the ticket windows of stations. Earlier, the facility of ticket booking through UTS has been started. Even after this, lines are seen at the ticket windows. Keeping this in mind, Railways is starting a new facility for passengers. Under this, now passengers will be able to buy train tickets through QR code and UPI payment.
In the first phase, service will be started at Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Chandausi, Haridwar, Dehradun, Amroha, Hapur, Roorkee, Rampur, Hardoi and Najibabad stations. The option of booking unreserved tickets through QR code through Railway UTS app has been given. Apart from this, renewal of season tickets and platform tickets can also be taken.
Special train will run between Anand Vihar-Saharsa
In view of the festival, Railways has announced another special train. This train will run between Anand Vihar-Saharsa and will have 20 unreserved coaches. Train (04052) Anand Vihar-Saharsa Special Express will run from Anand Vihar to Saharsa on 8, 11, 14 and 17 November. Whereas on 10th, 13th, 16th and 19th it will leave from Saharsa for Anand Vihar.
It will leave from Anand Vihar at 10:45 pm and reach Saharsa via Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Hardoi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni, Begu Sarai, Khagaria, S Bakhtiyarpur. In return, it will leave for Anand Vihar from Saharsa at 7 am. This information has been given by Senior DCM Sudhir Singh.
