For the convenience of passengers, amidst the increasing crowd in trains on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath, Railways has decided to run Puja special trains. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, for the convenience of passengers on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath, 283 Puja special trains are being run by the Railways. These trains running on different routes will make a total of 4480 trips.
Let us tell you that during festivals, a huge crowd of passengers is seen in trains. During Diwali and Chhath Puja, trains going towards Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are most crowded. Keeping in view the rush of passengers, Railways runs special trains every year. Railways is operating special trains this year also. In which trains of routes of all zones are included.

For convenient transportation during Diwali and Chhath festival, various puja special trains are being run from stations like New Delhi, Jammu Tawi-Barauni, Ambala Cantt, Firozpur Cantt etc. to Patna Junction, Danapur, Saharsa and other stations. Apart from this, many special trains are being operated by Railways from Muzaffarpur and Danapur to Anand Vihar.
