Weather Update Latest News: A Western Disturbance in the form of Cyclonic Circulation is located over southwest Iran and close to the central troposphere. Due to its effect, rain and snowfall is expected in the western parts. There is a possibility of rain in the Himalayan region on 11 and 12 January and in the plains of northwest India and adjoining central India during January 10 to 12.
Another cyclonic circulation is located over the lower tropospheric level of the southeast Bay of Bengal and the Equatorial Indian Ocean. Due to this, light to moderate rains with thunderstorms are expected at some places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during January 11 to 13 and in Kerala and Mahe on January 12 and 13. Heavy rains are likely at some places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on January 12.
Cold wave continued in Punjab and Haryana on Thursday. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 2.3 degrees Celsius. And dense fog was spread in the surrounding areas in the morning. Friday morning in Delhi (Delhi NCR Weather Update) was chilling, when dense fog (Dense Fog Alert) prevailed in the national capital. Due to this, visibility became zero in many areas. The minimum temperature in Sonipat, Haryana was recorded at 3.1 degrees Celsius.
On January 11, there is a possibility of rain (Rain Alert) with thunderstorms at different places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Hailstorms may also occur in South Haryana and Rajasthan on January 11.
