Rain Alert: Heavy rain and dense fog alert in many states amid cold wave, check Weather condition here

IMD Weather Alert: Part of North India is in the grip of cold wave. At the same time, there is severe cold and heavy rain in the plains. There is heavy snowfall in the mountains. The Meteorological Department has predicted hailstorm in some areas of Himachal Pradesh during 29 and 31 December. Here in Delhi, fog will prevail till late night and morning.

Many states of the country are facing the brunt of severe cold. Somewhere it is raining, somewhere it is snowing, and many areas are covered with dense fog. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted a sharp drop in temperature in some parts of Himachal Pradesh on 30 and 31 December. From 29 December to 3 January, severe cold is also expected in some parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Chandigarh. Apart from this, similar situation will prevail in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on 30 and 31 December. Here in Delhi also the weather will be clear from today (29 December 2024).

Let us tell you that intermittent rain continued in Delhi NCR from 27 December to 28 December night. Due to which the maximum temperature reached 15 to 17 degree Celsius. While the minimum temperature also dropped to 8 to 10 degree Celsius. Due to the rain, the chill has increased in Delhi. Strong winds are blowing. People are preferring to sit in front of heaters and blowers in their homes. Fewer people are seen on the busy streets and markets of Delhi for the last two days.

How will the weather be in Delhi today

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will stop in Delhi from today (29 December 2024). The weather will become cold from today. The Delhi Meteorological Center has not issued any forecast of rain till December 31. The sky will be clear on Sunday. But there will be fog in the morning and the sun may remain hidden for longer than usual. Cold wave continues in the national capital. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature recorded today is 9. Dry and cold weather will prevail next week. Cold and light fog on New Year’s Eve For the last 6 years, the mercury has been 5 degrees Celsius or less on New Year’s Eve. In which the lowest 2.4 degrees was recorded on 28 December 2019. Since the year 2007, the minimum temperature has remained below 7 degrees. This year too it may remain the same.

Possibility of rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, two new western disturbances are forming continuously. Due to which, there may be rain/snowfall in the western Himalayan region from 1 to 6 January. On the other hand, hailstorms may occur in different areas of Himachal Pradesh during 29 and 31 December. Dense fog may also prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh till 31 December. Due to which people may face problems in movement.
