Rain Alert: Heavy rain is going to happen in North India including Delhi-UP, be careful immediately!

Rain Alert: Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh will witness very heavy rainfall from June 30 to July 3, Eastern Rajasthan will witness very heavy rainfall on June 30 and July 1.

Rain Alert: Heavy rain is falling in most states across the country. Rivers are about to overflow in many places. The Meteorological Department has said that there is going to be very heavy rain in North West, East and Northeast India in the next four to five days. In such a situation, people need to be alert. An alert of very heavy rain has been issued in many states including the capital Delhi, UP in North India.

According to the Meteorological Department, the Southwest Monsoon is expected to advance into Western Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab in the next two to three days. At the same time, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema, Telangana, South Interior Karnataka will receive heavy rains for the next five days.

Apart from this, Punjab will receive very heavy rains on July 3 and 4, Delhi on July 1 to 3, Haryana, Chandigarh on July 4, Himachal Pradesh on July 3 and 4, East Rajasthan on July 2 to 4, West Madhya Pradesh on June 30 and July 4, East Madhya Pradesh on June 30, July 3 and 4, Vidarbha and Odisha on June 30, Gangetic West Bengal on June 30 and July 3. Apart from this, very heavy rain warning has been issued in Bihar on July 3 and 4, Chhattisgarh between June 30 and July 4.

Talking about other states, Himachal Pradesh will see very heavy rains from June 30 to July 2, Uttarakhand from June 30 to July 4, Punjab from July 1 and 2, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh from June 30 to July 3, East Rajasthan from June 30 and July 1.

Heavy rain likely in Delhi: Meteorological Department

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Delhi on Sunday and has issued an ‘orange’ alert for the city till July 2. The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, which is 0.9 degrees Celsius below the average temperature of this season. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the humidity level was recorded at 78 percent at 8.30 am. It said that nine millimeters (mm) of rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours. It said that the maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy weather and heavy rains till Tuesday. The IMD issues four levels of warnings based on colour – ‘Green’ (no action required), ‘Yellow’ (be alert and be informed), ‘Orange’ (be prepared) and ‘Red’ (take action).
