Rain Alert, Weather Update: A new Western Disturbance is going to arrive on January 29, due to which there will be rain in the hilly states on January 29 and 30. Apart from this, a dense fog alert has been issued in the morning for the next two to three days in the states of Northeast India.
Weather Update: Cold is gradually decreasing in North India. Due to the sunshine during the day, people are surprised that how the cold reduced so much in January itself. However, the Meteorological Department has said that the mercury will fall by two degrees in North India, which means that the cold may increase a bit. At the same time, a new Western Disturbance is going to come on January 29, due to which there will be rain in the hilly states on January 29 and 30. Apart from this, a dense fog alert has been issued in the morning for the next two to three days in the states of Northeast India. Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, cold wave prevailed in Himachal Pradesh, while dense to very dense fog was seen in central and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog also prevailed in Bihar, coastal Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain alert in Arunachal and Assam
Amid the decreasing cold across the country, the Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert in many states. It will rain in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam today i.e. on 24 January. Also, a new Western Disturbance is going to hit on 29 January, due to which there will be rain in the western Himalayan regions i.e. the hilly states of North India on 29 and 30 January.
At present, the minimum temperature in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh is below zero degrees Celsius, while in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand it remains between one to five degrees. The minimum temperature in North West India is five to 10 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in North West India fell to four degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in North West India will fall by two degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in Central India will decrease by three degrees. Talking about East India, there is not going to be any major change in it. Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are going to experience cold wave on 24 and 25 January. Dense fog will prevail in East Uttar Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar on 26 January, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram on 27 January.
