Weather Update: The weather has changed once again. Cold and fog have returned, which has increased the problems of the people. Traffic has been disrupted due to dense fog in Delhi-NCR and other areas, especially in the morning. The Meteorological Department says that there is no hope of relief for the next four-five days. The latest western disturbance is showing its effect. According to the IMD, rain is expected in the western Himalayan regions on Saturday. Light to moderate rainfall may occur in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and nearby places. In such a situation, the temperature will also drop and at some places people may shiver due to cold winds.

The weather is also going to deteriorate in western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The IMD report said that clouds may rain in these areas. Cold seems to be returning from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh to West Bengal. There may be rain in different places of these states, due to which the temperature will drop. If we look at South India, similar weather is going to be seen in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The average maximum temperature of this month was 21.1 degrees Celsius, making Delhi’s hottest January since 2019. According to IMD data, night temperatures were also above normal. January was warm and dry on average. Most parts of India are expected to have above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall in February. This month’s rainfall may be less than 81 percent of the period average (1971-2020) of 22.7 mm.
