The effect of western disturbance can be seen once again in Delhi-NCR. According to IMD, under the influence of western disturbance, heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on Monday.

The effect of western disturbance can be seen once again in Delhi-NCR after Saturday. Due to this, there is a possibility of intermittent drizzle on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. There are chances of getting relief from pollution also.

India Meteorological Department said on Friday that due to intense western disturbance, rain is expected in the north-west and central region of the country in the next four days. IMD said this is the first intense western disturbance of this season and will cause heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

North-West and Central India will be affected: There are chances of heavy rain in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on Monday. Under the influence of Western Disturbance, a cyclonic circulation system is likely to form over Central Pakistan and adjoining areas during the next 24 hours. The system is expected to further intensify with the possibility of merger with a fresh western disturbance on October 15, the IMD said. This system will affect northwest and central India from Friday night to October 17.

The Meteorological Department estimates that it is likely to get moisture from the Arabian Sea. As a result, the intensity and area of rainfall is likely to increase over northwest India during this period. After the passage of the Western Disturbance, dry winds coming from the Himalayas at lower tropospheric levels are likely to become dominant over northwest India. As a result, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the region from October 17.
