Rainfall Alert: Cold will increase further due to rain in Delhi-NCR, IMD issued yellow alert, know the condition of your state

Delhi Weather: The Meteorological Department has warned of light rain in Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy sky with the possibility of one or two rounds of very light rain during the evening or night on Wednesday (January 15).

Delhi Weather updates: Dense fog prevailed in entire North India including Delhi-NCR on Tuesday (January 15) morning. Due to this the visibility became zero. Air and train operations were disrupted. Meanwhile, a warning has been issued for further increase in cold. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted generally cloudy sky with one or two rounds of very light rain on Wednesday evening or during the night.

During this time the dominant surface wind is expected to blow from the south-east direction at a speed of less than 4 km per hour. Dense fog is expected in most places in the morning this week, while very dense fog is expected in some areas. The IMD said that haze or light to moderate fog is expected in the evening and night.

Yellow alert issued

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding the possibility of rain for the next three days along with dense fog. According to IMD, dense fog will prevail in Delhi NCR. Due to Western Disturbance, the sky will also remain cloudy and light drizzle is also possible. At the same time, the maximum temperature can be 19 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be nine degrees Celsius. Train and bus services are being affected due to dense fog in Delhi. Trains are running late from their scheduled time. At the same time, vehicles are also crawling on the roads.

Condition of other states

The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning at different places in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh. IMD says that the winds are blowing at a speed of 4 km per hour in the morning. The wind speed will gradually increase to 6 to 8 km per hour in the afternoon. At the same time, apart from Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad are also wrapped in a blanket of fog. Due to this, common people are facing problems.

Minimum temperature remains below 0 degree Celsius in many parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Temperature remains 1-4 degree Celsius in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, 4-10 degree Celsius in many parts of North-West and Central India, and 10-16 degree Celsius in many parts of East and West India.

Apart from this, during the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature has dropped by 1-5 degrees Celsius in many parts of Madhya Pradesh. On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, the temperature has increased by 1-3 degrees Celsius in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
