Madhya Pradesh has received overall 5% more rainfall since June 1. In these, 7% less rainfall has been recorded in the eastern part of the state and 17% more in the western part.
MP Weather alert Today: Monsoon effect continues in Madhya Pradesh, due to which moderate to heavy rains are occurring in South-East and East Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain alert has been issued in 17 districts of the state in the next 24 hours. There is also a possibility of lightning in the same 7 districts. Apart from this, light rain may occur in other districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur. Between August 2-4, the pace of rain may slow down a bit, but from August 5, the period of heavy rains will begin again in the entire state.
Heavy rain alert in these districts today
- There may be light rain in Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal divisions on Sunday.
- Heavy rain and thundershower alert in Sagar, Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Dindori, Satna and Rewa.
- Heavy rain warning for Ashoknagar, Singrauli, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Chhindwara, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh.
- Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Light to moderate rains in Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur and Niwari.
Dam gates opened, know the condition of big cities
In view of the possibilities of heavy rains, the gates of two dams built on the Tapti river in Betul have been opened. Two gates of Parsdoh Dam 1 meter and all gates of Chandora Dam will remain open till July 31. Light rain may occur in some areas of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain.
