Rainfall Alert: Monsoon has become fully active in most parts of the country. Due to this, there has been intermittent light to heavy rain for the last few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the rain will continue for the next 4-5 days. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal areas. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and interior Karnataka may receive sporadic light to moderate rain during the next 5 days. Marathwada will be cloudy on 8-9 July, Saurashtra and Kutch on 8th and Gujarat region on 9th.
If we talk about Northeast India, then light to moderate rainfall will occur in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha during the next 5 days. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during July 8 to 12. Jharkhand will receive rain on 12th, Odisha, Nagaland and Manipur on 8th and Mizoram and Tripura will receive rain during 8-11th. Similarly, Bihar is expected to receive rain during July 10-12, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya between 8-11th and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 8th July. Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Central India will receive light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. There is also a possibility of lightning during this period. Light to moderate rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
Heavy rain at many places in Rajasthan

Heavy rainfall has been recorded at some places in Bharatpur and Dausa districts. During this period, the highest rainfall of 91 mm in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Bandikui of Dausa, 76 mm in Sikrai and 91 mm in Bhusawar of Bharatpur. Similarly, the highest rainfall of 38 mm was recorded in Chhatargarh in western Rajasthan. The rain continuing for many days in the state has also affected the temperature and the maximum temperature has decreased considerably.

Goa has been receiving heavy rains since Saturday and the state education department has declared a holiday for all schools up to class 12 on Monday. The IMD has issued an orange alert and predicted moderate to heavy rains with strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph at many places in North and South Goa districts. Panaji recorded the highest rainfall of 360 mm in 24 hours till 8.30 am. Quepem recorded the lowest rainfall of 175 mm.
Rainfall at many places in Madhya Pradesh
Many places in Madhya Pradesh received rainfall during the last 24 hours. Rainfall is likely at many places in the state including the capital Bhopal even today. Meteorologists said that due to the formation of different weather systems, this sequence of rain is continuing in the state. Rainfall is likely at many places even today.
