UP Weather Alert Today: Due to the cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal, the rainy season is expected to continue in Uttar Pradesh till December 7. Today on Tuesday, rain alert has been issued in Western UP as well as Eastern UP. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in some areas of western UP. During this period, strong winds are also expected and fog warning has been issued in 12 districts. There is a possibility of increase in cold along with drop in temperature from next week. During this period, there will be moderate to dense fog in many parts of western and eastern UP.
Chances of rain in Eastern UP on 6-7 December
According to the UP Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the eastern part on Tuesday as well and the weather will remain dry in western UP as well. On December 6 and 7, there may be light rain and thundershowers at many places in eastern UP. Due to the effect of westerly wind, the minimum temperature is also expected to drop rapidly. The severe cyclonic storm ‘Michong’ formed in the Bay of Bengal may have an impact on Vindhya and surrounding far south-eastern Uttar Pradesh from the late night of 5-6 December till 7 December. There is a possibility of generally cloudy sky and light to moderate rain in this area.
Rain and fog warning in these districts today
- According to the UP Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain on Tuesday in many districts including Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Basti, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Noida and Moradabad. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of 35 to 45 kilometers per hour.
- It may rain in Kanpur Dehat, Jalaun, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Etawah, Auraiya, Hardoi, Barabanki, Unnao, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Basti, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Balrampur, Bahraich Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Kushinagar, Ambedkar Nagar. .
- There will be a change in temperature in Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Hathras, Moradabad, Bulandshahr, Meerut, Baghpat, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar and Shahjahanpur between 7th to 10th December, movement of clouds will remain and at some places there will be sunshine and at some places there will be fog.
- There is a possibility of rain in many other districts including Hamirpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Jalaun, Mahoba, Jhansi and Fatehpur districts.

- The maximum temperature of Lucknow will be 20 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 15 degrees Celsius.
- In Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur city, Kanpur Dehat, Etawah, Lakhimpur Kheri, Gorakhpur and Varanasi, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 15-20 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be between 22-24 degrees Celsius.
- In Fatehpur, Banda, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Fursatganj, Ghazipur, Fatehgarh, Basti, Jhansi, Orai and Hamirpur, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 14-16 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be between 23-24 degrees Celsius.
- In Etawah including Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Najibabad, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Agra, Aligarh and Bulandshahr, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 13 to 14 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be between 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.
