Cold Wave: Dense fog may occur in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, Bihar as well as North East India. Severe cold wave conditions may occur in many parts of Punjab and Haryana on January 2.
Weather 3 January: The effects of severe cold wave are being seen in most parts of the country. There is dense fog all over North India. Meanwhile, IMD has also predicted rain in many states. Along with this, further decrease in minimum temperature may be seen. According to IMD, dense to very dense fog may occur over Punjab during the next 2-3 days and parts of Haryana during the next 48 hours. Apart from this, there is a possibility of very dense fog in different parts of Uttarakhand and Rajasthan for two days.
IMD has said that light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places is possible in Lakshadweep. At the same time, during the next 24 hours, light rain is possible in isolated parts of Southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The intensity of rain may increase in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Apart from this, north and north-east Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of southern Uttar Pradesh may also receive light to moderate rain from January 4.
The Meteorological Department has said that till January 3, dense fog may prevail in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, Bihar as well as North East India. Severe cold wave conditions may occur in many parts of Punjab and Haryana on January 2. There may be a decrease on January 3. At the same time, today we have to handle the situation of cold wave in Uttar Pradesh and Western Rajasthan also.
