Due to its effect, there are chances of rain and snowfall in the hilly states. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance is currently being observed as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and its neighbourhood, ranging from 3.1 km to 12.6 km above mean sea level. It is now seen as a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds, whose axis is located 5.8 km above sea level. Changes in seasonal activities are seen due to the latest Western Disturbance.

There has been a slight drop in temperature in Delhi due to cold winds coming from the hilly areas. However, there is no possibility of rain in the country’s capital Delhi this entire week. According to IMD, the minimum temperature of Delhi may remain between 9 to 14 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 25 to 28 degrees Celsius.

Due to its effect, there is a possibility of sporadic light/moderate rainfall in the Western Himalayan region during 05 to 07 March. At the same time, a fresh and relatively weak western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from the night of 05 March 2024.
Apart from this, there are chances of sporadic rain and snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on March 4. On March 04, there is a possibility of sporadic light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning along with strong winds (30-40 km per hour) in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim.
