Rainfall Alert: There may be heavy rain in many states today, check the condition of your city

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many states today. IMD has predicted that some states will be drenched with rain before the departure of monsoon. There will be lightning in many states including UP and MP.

Rainfall Alert- The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many states today. Heavy rain may occur in some places of West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar. There is a possibility of rain in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh also. IMD says that with the departure of monsoon, some states may be drenched with rain. There are some states including Eastern UP, Eastern MP, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala, where there is a possibility of lightning. Winter has returned to the capital Delhi. People are feeling cold during night and morning.

Heavy rain today in many states including Bihar and Bengal

The Meteorological Department says that on October 3, there may be very heavy rain at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. At the same time, heavy rainfall is possible at some places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Widespread rain and storm may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar. Fairly widespread rain and squall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Lightning will fall with rain in UP and MP

IMD says there is a possibility of lightning along with rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh and eastern Madhya Pradesh today. Yesterday also there was heavy rain at many places here. On Monday, rainfall was recorded in Mandla, Khajuraho, Malajkhand, Satna, Pachmarhi and Jabalpur of MP. At present, a low pressure area has formed in the Arabian Sea and North Bay of Bengal in Madhya Pradesh. Whereas a cyclonic weather system is persisting in Western Rajasthan and North-West Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, there may be moderate rainfall at isolated places in Rewa and Shahdol divisions of Madhya Pradesh. There may be thunderstorms and lightning in Bhopal also.

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places in eastern UP on October 3. During this period the weather will remain clear in western UP. The Meteorological Department says that there may be heavy rain in Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi and Ghazipur.

Southern states will also be drenched

IMD has predicted scattered rain with possibility of lightning over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe.

Monsoon rain before departure in these states

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the South-West Monsoon may depart with rain in some states. This includes Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan. Monsoon rain may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, rest of West Uttar Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Rajasthan and some more parts of Gujarat in the next two days.

Cold nights in Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, winter has started in Delhi. The temperature has been falling in Delhi since last night. Due to this people are feeling a little cold. On Monday, the temperature was recorded at 20 degrees during night and morning. Similarly, the temperature may remain between 19 to 21 degrees in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area over North Odisha is expected to gradually move north-westwards. Its associated cyclonic circulation extends to eastern Uttar Pradesh. Under its influence, intermittent rains are expected to continue over East, Central and North-Eastern India for the next few days.

How will the weather be in Maharashtra?

The low pressure area over South Central Maharashtra is gradually losing steam and the monsoon is weakening over the low pressure area. Due to its effect, sporadic rain is expected around Maharashtra for the next few days. As far as mercury levels are concerned, maximum temperatures are expected to be below normal in northwest and eastern India, while temperatures in south and northeast India may remain above average. IMD estimates that overnight minimum temperatures will remain normal or slightly above normal across the country.
