Rainfall Alert: There will be heavy rain with thunderstorms for 5 days in 11 states, know the weather condition

Today’s weather: There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh during the next five days. Similar weather can be created in most of the states of West, East and Central India.

Rainfall Update: Rain clouds will remain camped in Uttar Pradesh for the next 5 days. Similar conditions are expected in most of the states of the country. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has given such indications on Monday. Also, there are chances of very heavy rain in about 11 states including Rajasthan. The department has said that there is little chance of any significant change in the maximum temperature of the country till August 5.

Where will it rain today

IMD has said that there are chances of rain with thunder in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh during the next five days. Similar weather can be formed in most of the states of West, South Peninsular, East and Central India.

When will there be heavy rain

The Meteorological Department has forecast that heavy rain may occur in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha on 29, 31 July, 1 and 2 August, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh from 30 July to 2 August, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra from 29 to 31 July, Uttarakhand till 30 July, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi till 31 July, West Rajasthan on 29 July, Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan from 30 July to 2 August.

Heavy rains may occur in coastal Karnataka till July 29, Kerala, Mahe till July 31, Jharkhand till August 2, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura till July 29, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha till August 2, West Bengal, Sikkim till August 2, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad from July 29 to August 2.

Mumbai will get relief from rain next week

The regional office of the IMD on Sunday predicted that the intensity of rain is likely to reduce next week. Also, no alert has been issued for the period from July 29 (Monday) to July 31 (Wednesday). Except for the orange alert issued for Monday for Raigad district, Thane, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg have been placed under yellow alert for the next 24 hours.

Sunil Kamble, director of IMD in Mumbai, said that the monsoon trough is not intense yet, which will not result in intense rainfall in Mumbai. However, southwesterly and westerly winds will continue to blow, leading to light to moderate rainfall in Mumbai.
