Rainfall Alert: According to the weather department forecast, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between July 3 and 7.
IMD Weather and Monsoon Rain Report: The latest report has been released by the Meteorological Department. A cyclonic circulation is formed over southeastern Pakistan. The monsoon trough is north of its normal position at sea level. Due to this, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in northwest and central India during the next 5 days. At the same time, IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain in some states.
According to the latest report of IMD, heavy rains are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad between July 4 and 7. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan from today to July 7. Heavy rains have been predicted in western Rajasthan on July 3. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till July 4.
The Meteorological Department has also said that there will be heavy rains in Uttarakhand during July 3-7. According to the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in western Uttar Pradesh on July 6-7, in eastern Uttar Pradesh during July 5-7.
The IMD has said that one cyclonic circulation remains over northern Bangladesh and the other is located over Assam. A trough remains at lower tropospheric levels from northeast Madhya Pradesh to the cyclonic circulation over Assam. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in some states for the next 5 days.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between July 3 and 7. Heavy rains may occur in Jharkhand on July 3-4 and in Odisha on July 6-7. The IMD has said that very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Bihar on July 3.
A cyclonic circulation lies over North Gujarat and neighbourhood in the mid-tropospheric levels. It is tilted southwards with height. Due to this, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat. Light to moderate rainfall is also likely over Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and interior Karnataka.
According to the forecast, scattered light to moderate rainfall is likely over Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema and Telangana during the next 5 days.
