Weather Update: It is raining heavily during the monsoon season. Torrential rain alert has been issued in states across the country including Uttar Pradesh. There is going to be heavy rain in UP from today for the next four days. Apart from this, another low pressure area has formed in the northern areas of West Bengal, due to which the weather is going to change. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be very heavy rain in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh from 23-26 August, East Central and Gangetic West Bengal from 23-25 August, Tripura, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya from 24-26 August.
Talking about the weather of North West India, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Rajasthan will receive rain for a week. Out of this, heavy rain warning has been issued for seven days in Uttarakhand, till 23-26 August in UP, 24-26 August in Western Rajasthan, 23-27 August in Eastern Rajasthan, 27 and 28 August in Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, very heavy rain is going to occur in Eastern Rajasthan on 25 and 26 August.
Talking about other states, rain is going to continue in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat for the next seven days. Marathwada, Vidarbha will receive rain till 23-25 August, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh will receive rain till 23-26 August. At the same time, heavy rains are going to occur in Arunachal Pradesh on 23, 28 and 29 August, Assam, Meghalaya on 23-26 August, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on 23-28 August, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha on 23-26 August, Andaman and Nicobar on 28 August. There is an alert of heavy rain in Tripura and Mizoram on 25 August. Talking about the states of South India, heavy rains will continue for a week in Kerala, Mahe, coastal and southern interior Karnataka and Telangana.
Heavy rains expected in many districts of Rajasthan
Monsoon rains are continuing in many parts of Rajasthan and the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of the state in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, till 8:30 am on Friday, light to moderate rains were recorded at many places in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours along with thunderstorms. During this period, heavy rains were recorded at some places in Tonk, Jhunjhunu, Udaipur and Chittorgarh districts and very heavy rains were recorded at some places in Pali district. The highest rainfall of 122 mm was recorded in Raipur of Pali. Apart from this, 90 mm rain was recorded in Rasmi of Chittorgarh, 74 mm in Gudhagaurji of Jhunjhunu and 72 mm in Uniara of Tonk.
