Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of storm, rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on April 20. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Punjab and Haryana. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heat wave in Saurashtra, Kutch and Bihar.
IMD Rainfall Alert: The weather patterns of the country have changed. At some places conditions of rain and storm are prevailing, while at the same time some states are facing the brunt of heatwave. According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on April 20, there is an alert of storm, rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Punjab and Haryana. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heat wave in Saurashtra, Kutch and Bihar.
Seasonal activities of the country
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the western disturbance is over northern Pakistan and surrounding areas. The induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and Punjab. At the same time, an area of cyclonic winds has formed over the central parts of Assam. A trough extends from northwest Bihar to the cyclonic circulation over central Assam. A cyclonic circulation is forming over Marathwada.
Apart from this, a trough is extending from Marathwada through interior Karnataka to southern Tamil Nadu. A cyclonic circulation has formed over the south-east of the Bay of Bengal. Whereas the latest Western Disturbance will affect North-West India from April 22.
Delhi’s climate
Strong winds may blow during the day in Delhi today i.e. on 20th April. However, there is no chance of rain in Delhi this entire week. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 37 to 39 degrees Celsius throughout this week. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
Weather condition of the country
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, there will be thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds (40-50 km per hour) over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh between April 20 and 21 and over Uttarakhand on April 20. ) may be accompanied by rain and snowfall. Whereas between April 20 and 21, there may be sporadic rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-40 km per hour) in North Punjab and North Haryana.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain and storm is possible in Northeast India between April 20 and 21. Light to moderate rain may occur in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on April 20 and 22. Scattered light rain is possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada between April 20 and 22. There may be sporadic rainfall in Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka.
