Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast saying that there is a possibility of heat wave in the eastern and southern peninsular areas for the next five days. These include many districts of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. There is a possibility of rain in many states of the North-West for the next three to four days.
Chances of rain with strong thunder
While North India is facing the brunt of the scorching heat, there is a possibility of the heat wave increasing further. On the other hand, meteorology has predicted that there is a possibility of rain with lightning and strong winds in the Western Himalayan region between 26 to 29 April. Similar weather can be seen in Western India from 26 to 28 April and in Central India from 26-27 April.
Danger of floods and landslides in Northeast India
According to the Meteorological Department, torrential rains may be seen in North-East India. Weather forecasting agency IMD estimates that there will be heavy rain in these parts from April 28 to 30, which may also cause possible floods and landslides. For this, the departments associated with it have been advised to be prepared for any emergency and follow security measures.
