IMD Alert: The weather patterns are going to change completely. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), many states in the North-West may see rain with heavy thunderstorms for the next four days. This will provide relief to the people from the scorching heat, but there is a possibility of huge damage to the crops.

Weather Update: The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in many states of North India. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast saying that there is a possibility of heat wave in the eastern and southern peninsular areas for the next five days. These include many districts of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. There is a possibility of rain in many states of the North-West for the next three to four days.

Chances of rain with strong thunder

While North India is facing the brunt of the scorching heat, there is a possibility of the heat wave increasing further. On the other hand, meteorology has predicted that there is a possibility of rain with lightning and strong winds in the Western Himalayan region between 26 to 29 April. Similar weather can be seen in Western India from 26 to 28 April and in Central India from 26-27 April.

Danger of floods and landslides in Northeast India

According to the Meteorological Department, torrential rains may be seen in North-East India. Weather forecasting agency IMD estimates that there will be heavy rain in these parts from April 28 to 30, which may also cause possible floods and landslides. For this, the departments associated with it have been advised to be prepared for any emergency and follow security measures.

Rain may cause damage to crops

The hard work of farmers may go waste. From the way the heat wave is being seen, it is being estimated that the extreme heat may have a serious impact in the eastern and southern peninsular areas. Apart from this, there is also news of hailstorm in many areas of Central Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh. Sudden changes in weather patterns can wreak havoc, causing damage to crops. There is even greater danger to crops due to hailstorm.
