The highest temperature recorded at the Ridge Meteorological Center was 40.6 degrees. The Meteorological Department estimates that it will be hot during the day on Friday, but there may be light rain with strong wind at many places during the evening or night.
Increase in pollution levels: Due to increase in the amount of dust particles in the air, there has been a slight increase in the pollution levels in the capital. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average air quality index stood at 199 on Thursday. The air at this level is kept in the moderate category.
Notably, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, between 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, between 101 and 200 “moderate”, between 201 and 300 “poor”, between 301 and 400 “very”. “Poor” and between 401 and 500 are considered “Severe”.
