Rainfall Update: Heavy rains with strong winds will occur in more than 20 states; Know the latest weather conditions

The IMD has also said that during the next five days, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, MP and Chhattisgarh will witness winds at a speed of 40-50 kmph and rain.

Monsoon Rain Date Latest Updates: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given the latest information about the monsoon with the help of a picture taken by satellite. According to the IMD, light to heavy rains with thunder and lightning may occur in many states of the country from this afternoon. The IMD has also informed that the northern boundary of the monsoon is passing through Mundra, Mehsana, Udaipur, Shivpuri, Lalitpur, Siddhi, Chaibasa, Haldia, Pakur, Sahibganj and Raxaul.

The Meteorological Department has also said that conditions are likely to be favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon over North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar, most parts of East Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of West Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, heavy rains are likely over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, northern parts of Punjab and some parts of northern parts of Haryana during the next 3-4 days.

It will rain in these states for 5 days

The IMD has also said that during the next five days, winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 kmph and it will rain in Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, light to moderate rains are also expected in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. The IMD has said that heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch as well as Tamil Nadu during June 26-27. There will be rain in Gujarat and coastal Karnataka during June 26-29.

Heavy rainfall is likely over western Madhya Pradesh on 27 and 28 June and over eastern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during 26-29 June.

The IMD also said that strong winds will blow at lower tropospheric levels from the Bay of Bengal to east and northeast India. Due to this, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is likely over West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 5 days.

Rain will occur in Bihar till 29 June

According to the weather report released by the IAD on June 26, a cyclonic circulation is formed over southwest Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is likely over West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha during the next 5 days. Very heavy rainfall is likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Bihar on June 26. This series of rains in Bihar is likely to continue till June 29.
