Rainfall Update: Possibility of rain and hailstorm in more than 15 states, IMD issues alert

The Indian Meteorological Department has once again issued a rain alert in many states of the country. Hail may also occur at some places.

IMD Weather Update: These days the weather pattern is seen changing across the country. While the rain has given relief to the people from the scorching sun, there has also been damage due to hailstorm and storm. Many parts of the capital Delhi witnessed heavy rains and winds on Saturday and Sunday, due to which people got relief from the heat.

An update regarding the weather has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department. According to the information, the weather will remain similar in the coming days also. A period of rain will be seen in West North India for the next 24 to 48 hours.

IMD’s weather update

According to the IMD report, there will be a period of rain in North-West India on April 15 also. Similar weather is expected to continue on April 16 also. On April 12, an active Western Disturbance has formed in North-West India, due to which there will be continuous cloudy sky and during this time winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

How long will the impact of the disturbance last?

According to the information, the impact of this western world will be seen from 18th to 19th April. Till then cold winds will continue to blow and the temperature will not reach 40 degrees Celsius. After April 18, there will be a gradual increase in temperature. However, despite rising temperatures, there is a possibility of rain in many states.

Where will it rain

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in more than 15 states including Delhi in the next 24 hours. At the same time, snowfall along with light to moderate rain can be seen in the Western Himalayas. Apart from this, light to moderate rain will be seen in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh. Dust storm and hailstorm along with thunder and lightning can also be seen at these places.

Alert in Bihar and Bengal

The weather department also predicted rain in other states including Bihar and Bengal. Odisha, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Marathwada and West Bengal may witness moderate rain and thundershowers. Areas like Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Sikkim, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Assam may receive moderate to light rain.
