Monsoon Date for Delhi-NCR: There is some good news for the people of North India troubled by the scorching heat. Actually, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has made many predictions regarding monsoon in Delhi-NCR, UP and Bihar.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has reached Andaman Nicobar. Monsoon may enter Kerala on 31st May or 1st June. IMD estimates that depending on the speed at which it is moving, it will enter UP via Gorakhpur or Varanasi between June 18 and 20. The department says that the first monsoon rains are expected in Lucknow between June 23 and 25.

Expecting good rain this year

If we look at the figures of monsoon rainfall in recent years in Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2023-24, compared to normal rainfall here, it will be 71 percent i.e. 589.3 mm as against 829.8 mm. It had just rained. In 2022-23, against the normal rainfall of 829.8 mm, only 514.3 or 62 percent rainfall was received. Meteorologists say that this time good rain is expected in monsoon. ‘La Nina’ conditions are expected to form by June-August. Because of this, there is a possibility of better rain this time compared to last year.

Entry in Delhi-NCR and other states on this day

The Meteorological Department said that monsoon can reach Bihar by June 15. Apart from this, monsoon is expected to reach Madhya Pradesh from June 15 to 20, Rajasthan from June 25 to June 30, Maharashtra by June 10 and Chhattisgarh by June 15. According to IMD, monsoon may arrive in Delhi and NCR cities by June 30. In these states also, this time during monsoon, it is expected that there will be more rain than in the last few years.

The whole of North India is troubled by heat wave and extreme heat.

Right now the entire North India is suffering from severe heat and heat wave. The temperature in Delhi-NCR remains between 45-47 degrees Celsius. Even in Rajasthan the temperature has reached 47 degrees. Same situation prevails in Haryana, UP, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh also. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the entire North India regarding heat wave. According to the department, people are not expected to get respite from the heat in the next three-four days.
