Rainfall Update: There will be rain in these states on Holi, know IMD’s alert

Weather Forecast: There is a possibility of no rain in the national capital Delhi on the day of Holi. The latest update from IMD shows where it may rain on Holi.

Where can it rain on Holi?

According to the press release issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday (23 March), during 23 to 29 March, light thunderstorm with isolated thunderstorms will occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There is a possibility of moderate rain and lightning.

There is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh during 23, 25 and 26 March. There may be heavy rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 23 and 25 March. Heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya on March 25 and 26.

Light rain may occur in Bihar and Jharkhand

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with isolated thunder and lightning in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during March 23 and 26. Similar weather can be seen in Gangetic West Bengal during 25th and 26th March and in Bihar and Jharkhand on 25th March.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR on Holi?

According to Skymet, the weather is likely to be dry and hot on Holi in Delhi-NCR this year. Skymet said that winds may blow stronger than normal this Holi in Delhi-NCR, but this will only increase the heat. Rain and showers will be limited to the mountains. During this period, the maximum temperature in Delhi NCR is likely to be around 33-34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 16-17 degrees Celsius.

Weather will be like this in Punjab, Lucknow, Patna and Kolkata

The sky is likely to remain clear in Punjab, Lucknow and Agra on March 25. There is a possibility of partly cloudy sky in Patna. It is expected to be cloudy in Kolkata also on the day of Holi.

According to Skymet, there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi-NCR on the late night of March 27 and the morning of March 28. At the same time, according to IMD, there may be sporadic light rain in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan between March 26 and 28.
