UP Weather: Amidst the scorching heat across the country, the Meteorological Department has announced good news on Friday. It is going to rain in the coming days in many states including UP-Bihar. This will definitely provide some relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heat wave conditions in Eastern India till May 5. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in North-East India on May 5 and 6. Apart from this, there is also an alert of storm. There may be rain in the eastern UP area between May 6 and 9.

Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, heatwave conditions were seen in Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu etc. The highest temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandyal area of Rayalaseema. At the same time, there was heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Tripura yesterday.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura are going to receive light to moderate rain during the next five days. Apart from this, if we talk about the states of North-West India, warning of rain, thunderstorm and lightning has been issued in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh between May 3 and 5.

Talking about the plains of North India, there will be light rain in Western Rajasthan on May 3, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on May 4. Apart from this, strong winds may occur in Uttar Pradesh, Southern Rajasthan and Haryana and Delhi on May 3 and 4. At the same time, there is going to be light to moderate rain in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand between May 6-9. Apart from this, an alert has also been issued for thunderstorm and lightning.

Temperature likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius in Delhi

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Friday was recorded at 18.3 degrees Celsius, six degrees below normal. The relative humidity in the national capital was recorded at 34 percent at 8.30 am. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong winds during the day. According to IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 38 degrees Celsius.
