Weather Forecast: It is raining heavily in many states of the country. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that it may rain in Delhi today (7 September 2024) on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Along with this, an orange alert has been issued in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa.
The speed of monsoon is increasing in the month of September also. Rain has been continuing for the last several days in most places in the country. It is not stopping yet. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts regarding heavy rains in many states today (7 September 2024). There was drizzle in the National Capital Region (NCR) including Delhi amid cloudy weather on Saturday morning. Heavy rains may occur today in many states including Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Telangana Rajasthan.
It has been raining in many areas of Uttarakhand since Friday. Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Chamoli, Pauri and Bageshwar districts on Saturday. Rain may occur in other districts of the state Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi and Nainital.
Yellow alert regarding rain in Delhi
Talking about Delhi, the IMD has predicted cloudy weather and moderate rain in the city today i.e. Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued in the city. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Saturday is likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 24 degrees Celsius. Earlier on Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal. The spell of rain will continue in different areas of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. There may be rain in Telangana, Gujarat and Puducherry. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa.
Chances of rain in West Bengal as well
Chances of rain have been predicted in West Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain at some places today. Heavy rains have been predicted in the southern parts of the state from September 9. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to go to the coasts of West Bengal-Odisha till September 8-10. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour, which can sometimes reach up to 60 km per hour.
Clouds will also rain in Rajasthan
Rain is not stopping in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, the period of rain will continue in the state for a few days. There is a possibility of very heavy rain in South and South-East Rajasthan for the next three to four days. Rainfall may decrease from September 10.
