Aligarh: Bhartiya Kisan Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait was detained by Aligarh police and kept in Tappal police station, but Rakesh Tikait fooled the officers and escaped from the police station. When the police got a clue, the officers ran after him with the force. At the same time, Rakesh Tikait stopped a car and got into it, he was preparing to run away, but the police caught him again. Rakesh Tikait left to attend the Mahapanchayat of farmers called at the zero point of Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida, but he was detained by Aligarh police in Tappal. During this, Rakesh Tikait said that the police is stopping the farmers from going to Noida by detaining them in their homes. He said that how long will you keep us in custody. If you keep us locked up, then whom will we talk to. He said that if the officers have such an attitude, then the farmers’ movement will be intensified further.
