Ramoji Rao, the founder of Ramoji Film City, has passed away. He was ill for the last several days. He was undergoing treatment at Star Hospital in Hyderabad. He breathed his last at around 3:45 am on June 8.

It is being told that he was admitted to the hospital on June 5 after his health deteriorated, where he was undergoing treatment. According to reports, he had a heart problem, for which doctors put a stent in his heart. He was on a ventilator in the ICU since June 5. His blood pressure had increased, along with this he was having trouble breathing.

His body will be taken to his residence in Ramoji Film City and his last journey will start from there. His fans and close ones are paying tribute to him on social media.

Ramoji, who is called the iconic media baron and film mogul, had returned after defeating a major disease a few years ago as well. He had colon cancer many years ago, but he was completely cured with treatment.

People are paying tribute on social media

Actor-producer Rohit Nara shared Ramoji’s picture on Twitter and wrote, “It is very sad to wake up to such a heartbreaking news. The pride of the Telugu community, the legend of Telugu media Sri Ramoji Rao garu is no more. His inspiring journey and huge presence have left an indelible mark on our hearts…”

A user named Jagdish has described Ramoji Rao as the most powerful person after the Prime Minister. He has written, “Ramoji Rao, the most powerful person in this country after the Prime Minister, is no more. May his soul rest in peace.”
