Rapid Rail: National Capital Region Transport Corporation i.e. NCRTC said that with the opening of this section of Rapid Rail, the travel time from Sahibabad to Meerut South will be reduced by about 30 minutes.
Rapid Rail: There is good news for those who travel by Rapid Rail to bring and take people from Delhi-NCR to Meerut. Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service will soon reach Meerut. The trial run of the train had started on this route and it is believed that the Rapid Rail will run from Partapur Tiraha to Meerut South Station. Rapid Rail service will start for Meerut South
According to the news of Times of India, the service from Sahibabad to Meerut South can start by the end of this month. According to some media reports, the operation of Rapid Rail will start from next week on 24 June to Meerut South. If this happens, it will become the first metro service providing station in Meerut district on the Rapid Rail Corridor. Currently, there are 13 stations in Meerut under the Namo Bharat Corridor, out of which 4 have been kept for Rapid Rail and the remaining 9 have been kept for local metro stations.
Approval from Commissioner of Railway Safety Metro
The Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) had approved the proposal for the third section of the Namo Bharat Corridor. Under this, Namo Bharat will be run between Modinagar and Meerut South. Now in the last week of June (probable 24 June), Rapid Rail can be started between Sahibabad and Meerut South.
Big benefit to students and daily travelers
Sahibabad-Meerut Namo Bharat train corridor will increase the operational time of Rapid Rail by 42 km. After this, more than half of the planned 80 km Delhi-Meerut corridor will be covered. The start of the 8 km section of Sahibabad-Meerut of Rapid Rail Corridor will be a big benefit to students and daily travelers on the Sahibabad-Meerut route.
