Rapid Rail Tickets: A unique facility of ticket booking is going to be started on the Rapid Rail Transport System between Delhi and Meerut. Such a service will be used for the first time for ticket booking all over the world.

Rapid Rail Tickets: Some parts of the country’s ambitious project Rapid Rail Transport System (RRTS) have been started. The entire face of travel between Delhi-NCR will change with these Namo Bharat Trains. To make the journey in these beautiful, comfortable and luxurious Namo Bharat trains even better, NCRTC has started One Tap Ticketing service. This kind of facility is being provided for the first time in the world. It will be available on RRTC Connect App.

How will this unique feature work?

Through this feature, passengers will get the facility to generate QR code on RRTS Connect app from anywhere within a radius of 300 meters of the station. The passenger will not have to tell his station nor will there be any need to book advance ticket. As soon as you click on One Tap Booking, you will get QR ticket for the journey. With its help you will be able to reach any station anytime without any hassle.

Ticketing process will become faster

One-tap booking will eliminate the hassle of getting tickets. You will not have to stand in line anywhere. You will be able to board and deboard from any station. At present, while booking tickets, one has to choose the first and last station of the journey. Then even if one does not want to, one has to get down there and buy another ticket.

Only Rs 100 will have to be kept in the app

To avail this facility, passengers will have to download the RRTS Connect app. Also, you will have to link your e-wallet to this app. Minimum amount to be kept in e-wallet is Rs 100. While using the app, the location of the phone has to be activated so that the app can recognize the location of the station while booking the ticket. After this, QR code will be generated on one tap. By scanning it, you can enter the station. At the station where you will exit, as soon as you scan the QR code, money will be deducted from the e-wallet.

Presently 17 kilometer long corridor has been opened

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off India’s first NaMo Bharat trains on October 20. In this corridor, a 17 km long section between Sahibabad and Duhai depot has become operational. It is part of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. There are five stations in this section, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot. The target has been set to make the 82 km long corridor from Delhi to Meerut completely operational by June 2025.
