Ration card Benefit: There is big news for ration card holders. Actually the amount will be sent to their account for them. The same 1.06 crore beneficiaries have to send their money to their bank accounts linked to Aadhaar. Its benefit will be given to 1.28 crore ration card beneficiaries. For this, the Aadhaar number of 99% of the beneficiaries has been linked to the ration card.
The new scheme has been started by the Government of Karnataka for the beneficiary of the ration card. Under the Anna Bhagya Yojana, the government will transfer funds to the accounts of 1.06 crore beneficiaries. This money will be given to the families living below the poverty line. For 5 kg rice to the family, its amount is being made available in their bank account. The amount will be sent to the bank account linked to the Aadhaar number of the head of the family.
Tell that there are 1.28 crore ration card beneficiaries under Antyodaya Anna Yojana in the state. Out of which 99% are linked with Aadhaar number. Apart from this, bank accounts linked to Aadhaar of 1.06 crore beneficiaries are active. The amount will be disbursed to these beneficiaries through DBT. The same amount will be made available to them for additional 5 kg of rice at the rate of ₹ 34 per kg. This amount will be sent directly to the beneficiaries account.
22 lakh BPL families are still not getting benefits under Anna Bhagya Yojana. These are the people whose bank account is not linked to Aadhaar. Under the scheme, 5 kg rice is to be given to each beneficiary belonging to the BPL family. This was promised by the Congress during the election campaign.
Jammu and Kashmir: Decision to give 10 kg additional ration
Huge preparations have been made by the Jammu and Kashmir government. Under this, it has been decided to provide 10 kg additional ration at subsidized rates to all poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Food Supplement Scheme. Jammu and Kashmir’s LG Manoj Singh has announced in this regard.
In such a situation, the families of the state are being given the facility of 4 kg free ration per member. From now on, each family will be given the facility of additional 10 kg ration at the rate of ₹ 25 per kg. At present there are 14.32 lakh ration card holders in Jammu and Kashmir and 572400 people are being given the benefit of PMSSS.
At the same time, this decision of the state government will cost about Rs 1.80 crore. It has been taken by the government keeping in mind the facilities to the public. Manoj Sinha said that it is being re-introduced at revised rates to overcome the financial burden of poor families and ensure access to food and nutritional security.
