There is big news for crores of ration card holders. On one hand they will get the benefit of additional ration. On the other hand, preparations are being made for the new ration card. It is believed that new ration cards will be provided to the beneficiaries soon. Not only this, ration card holders will get the benefit of LPG gas cylinder. Preparations are underway to provide them cylinders for Rs 475.
Ration Card Benefit: If you are also a ration card holder and are taking advantage of the government’s free ration scheme, then there is good news for you. Now they will be provided the benefit of gas cylinder with a subsidy of Rs.475.
A big announcement has been made by the Goa government. Under this, a subsidy of Rs 475 will be given to the AAY card holder in the cylinder. Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant and Union Minister launched Chief Minister Financial Assistance Scheme for LPG Cylinder Refill. Under this scheme, Antyodaya other plan card holders will be given a subsidy of Rs 275 on the cylinder from the state government. The subsidy of ₹200 on LPG cylinder was announced by PM Modi earlier.
Goa: Cylinder price Rs 428
Central subsidy of ₹200 is being provided to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme. Now the Government of Goa has announced to give an additional Rs 275 every month to the Antyodaya other scheme ration card holders. In this case, the subsidy of Rs 200 and Rs 275 from the Central Government and Rs 275 from the Government of Goa, together with the subsidy of Rs 475, has been announced. The subsidy will be made available to the ration card holders.
Actually the price of 14.2 kg cylinder is Rs 917 in Goa. If a deduction of ₹ 200 under Ujjwala Yojana as well as ₹ 275 of Antyodaya Yojana is deducted, then the cost of the cylinder remains at ₹ 428. In such a situation, the gas agency will have to pay the full cost of the cylinder. After which the amount will be sent to the beneficiaries account.
Karnataka: Amendment in ration card between 1st to 10th September
Here, major preparations have been made by the Karnataka government. Under this, monthly financial assistance of ₹ 2000 is being provided to the female heads of families in the state government. To avail the benefits of the Griha Lakshmi scheme started for this, amendments will be made in the ration card between September 1 and September 10. Its permission has been granted. It was ordered by the state government that only those women, whose names are mentioned in the ration card or below poverty line card and Antyodaya card. Only those are eligible for this scheme.
The head of the family can be changed in the ration card by nominating a woman in the ration card. Thus they will be allowed to receive monthly assistance of ₹2000. According to the Food and Civil Supplies Department official, beneficiaries can make changes in the ration card from September 1 to 10 and avail financial assistance.
To make amendments in the ration card, beneficiaries will be able to make amendments in their ration card at Bengaluru 1, Karnataka Forest and Village Forest Centre. According to the Food and Civil Supplies Department, the head of the family of more than 6 lakh BPL card holders is male. In which now the woman’s name can be written as the head. Along with this they will get the benefit of the scheme.
Telangana: New ration cards can be issued soon
Major preparations are going on by the Telangana government. Under this, new ration cards can be issued soon. It is believed that ration cards are expected to be issued before the assembly elections in November or December. Many people have been waiting for ration card for 9 years. Although the new ration cards were to be approved 3 years ago, digitalization was started with the aim of eliminating fake cards. Due to which there was continuous delay in making new cards. Now it is being told that before Dussehra and elections, the government can take steps in the direction of new ration cards and soon people can get new ration cards. There are more than 90 lakh ration card holders in Telangana.
UP : Card holder’s biometric verification
Big preparations have been made by the Uttar Pradesh government. Under this, biometric verification of the ration card holder will be done. It has been decided to do online verification of 15 crore beneficiaries. Guidelines have also been issued for this decision of the Uttar Pradesh government. Steps are being taken to bring transparency in the distribution of food grains and other rations. Every beneficiary will have to be quotated and verify the thumb impression in Aadhaar through e-posh machine. A plan has been prepared to complete this process in the next 5 to 6 months. Apart from this, weighing machines will also be installed at 80,000 shops. The weighing machine will be directly connected to this e-posh machine. The e-posh machine will immediately issue a receipt for the amount of grain that is weighed to the beneficiary.
Himachal: Decision to make quota available for 2 months in September
Major preparations were made by the Himachal government. Under this, then ration of 2 months will be made available to the beneficiaries at one go. In the month of August, people had to face trouble due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. Due to which the ration could not reach the ration depot. Consumers were unable to buy cheap ration. Now it has been decided to make the quota for the months of August and September available to the beneficiaries in the month of September itself.
The ration card holder will be given the benefit of 5 kg rice along with 14 kg flour. Ration will be made available to them at market price etc. Along with this, Malka, Maash and Chana or Moong Dal will be made available to them. Along with this, oil, sugar and 1 kg salt will be made available on subsidy.
