Ration Card: Consumers’ ration card will have to be E-KYC done, department has issued orders

It is now mandatory for ration card holders to get e-KYC done for their ration cards. The state’s Food Commissioner Saurabh Babu has issued an order to the District Magistrate and District Supply Officer regarding this and the ration dealer will have to complete the work of e-KYC by June 25 at any cost. The name of the deceased registered in the ration card will also be removed through e-KYC, due to which the ration dealer will not be able to commit any fraud.

It is now mandatory for ration card holders to get e-KYC of their ration cards done. E-KYC will also remove the name of the deceased from the ration card so that the ration dealer will not be able to commit fraud. The name of a married girl who has gone to her in-laws’ house will also be removed. E-KYC will get rid of many flaws.

In this regard, 42 ration dealers of the block were trained for e-KYC at the Babhani ration shop at 9 am on Saturday. They were given information about e-KYC. On this occasion, supply inspector Babhani Nirmal Singh, block engineer Arvind Kumar and more than two dozen ration dealers including Phoolkunwar, Shivchand, Shivpujan, Ayodhya, Ran Bahadur Singh, Ramdev were present.

During this, Supply Inspector Nirmal Singh warned the cheap ration shopkeepers that if any negligence is shown in getting e-KYC done, then departmental action will be taken against the concerned persons. He said that no kind of irregularity should be done in the allocation of food grains.
