Who Can Get Ration Card
- To get a ration card made, it is mandatory for a person to be a citizen of India.
- The person should not have ration card of any other state.
- In whose name the ration card is being made, his age should be more than 18 years.
- The name of the children below the age of 18 years is included in the ration card of the parents.
- In a family, there is a ration card in the name of the head of the family.
- The members who are being included in the ration card must have a close relationship with the head of the family.
- No family member should have name in any ration card before that.
There are 3 types of ration card
BPL card: BPL or below poverty line card is provided to those citizens who live below poverty line and their annual income is less than ₹ 10,000.
APL Card: APL or Above Poverty Line card is provided to those citizens who are above poverty line and their annual income is more than ₹10,000.
AAY Card: AAY or Antyodaya Anna Yojana card is issued to the citizens who do not have any stable income source.

Step 1: For this, first you have to go to the official website of Department of Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Delhi. You can directly access the site by clicking on this link https://nfs.delhi.gov.in/.
Step 2: On the homepage, you will find the ‘Citizen Corner’ section, here you will see the option of “Get e-Ration Card”, click on it.
Step 3: After this a page will open where you will be asked for details like ration card number, name of head of family, aadhar card number of head of family, date of birth and registered mobile number. After filling it, you have to click on Continue.
Step 4: After this the user will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter OTP and Aadhaar Number.
Step 5: After the process is completed, you will see the e-ration card on your screen. You can download the Ration Card in the form of PDF by clicking on the download option.
