Why is the name deducted from the ration card?
There are many reasons for the name appearing in the ration card. For example, if your name is already linked in any other ration card or your ration card is not linked with Aadhar card, then your name can be deducted. Even after the death of the head of your ration card, your name can be deducted from the ration card. But in such a situation, now you do not need to panic. You can get the ration card made again by applying for the ration card again. Also, you can add the name of the wife after marriage or after the birth of the child.
How to add your name in ration card
1. Take a photocopy of the Aadhar card and the ration card to which you want to add your name, go to your neighboring CSC center or public convenience center.
2. After this you will get the receipt from there. Submit it in your Tehsil. After a few days your name will be added in the ration card.
Names added in two ways
The names of new members are added to the ration card in two ways. First, the new born child and secondly the wife, who is associated with you or any member of your family after marriage.
1. First, first of all, both of you should get a ration card made separately or get your wife’s Aadhar card amended.
2. In the Aadhar card, instead of the father of the girl, enter the name of the husband i.e. your name.
3. Now take your and wife’s Aadhar card and give it to the food department officer in the tehsil.
4. Deduct your name from the already linked ration card and then apply for the new ration card. The ration card with which your name is associated.
5. If you want to add your wife’s name in the same ration card, then you will have to get your wife’s Aadhaar amended. After that submit the wife’s Aadhaar by going to the public convenience center
6. After online verification, the wife’s name will be added.
