RBI: Old notes of 5, 10 and 100 rupees will not run from March

RBI has made a big announcement regarding the old notes (notes) of 5, 10 and 100 rupees. RBI says that she can withdraw these old notes soon.




New Delhi: Assistant General Manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) B Mahesh has shared important information about the practice of some old notes. RBI can withdraw old, 5, 10 and 100 rupee notes from Indian market. RBI AGM B Mahesh said that the RBI is considering a plan to withdraw the series of old notes of 5, 10 and 100 rupees.

The total value of these old notes will be deposited in the person’s bank account or new notes of the same price will be given to him.

RBI also said that banks should make every effort so that circulation of coins of 10 rupees remains in the market. Earlier, the RBI also conducted awareness campaigns to make the public aware about the validity of 10 rupee coins.




Old notes will not stop suddenly,

earlier, during demonetisation , the notes of 1,000 and 500 rupees were completely out of the market. This created an atmosphere of chaos among the people. In order to avoid this kind of problem, this time RBI is not completely out of the old currency notes of 5, 10 and 100 rupees. First, new notes of this price have been released in the market. Now after the circulation of these notes, old series notes can be withdrawn from the market.
