Bank Rules: One has to go to the branch many times for small work related to the bank. Stories of lateness of employees are often heard in the bank. Many times when going to the bank, the employees ask to come after lunch, sometimes even after lunch one has to wait for hours. If this has ever happened to you too, then definitely read this article. Now, if a bank employee makes you move from here to there for your work, you can immediately complain about it and get action taken against those responsible. RBI has also made rules for this.

Inhumane treatment of employee

Many times employees try to delay their work. But this will be possible only when you are not aware of your rights. Customers have some rights related to banking services, in the absence of information of which you are not able to avail the benefits. Bank customers get many such rights in banks, which the customers are not aware of, and then the bankers take advantage of them. It is important for the bank to behave properly with its customers. According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), if customers are not treated appropriately, you can complain to the Banking Ombudsman and get a solution to your problem. Let us know about these rights.

Bank customers have many rights

  • If any bank employee delays in doing your work or tries to sabotage you, then you can complain to the Bank Manager or Nodal Officer of that bank.
  • To deal with customer complaints, almost every bank has Grievance Redressal Forum, where you can resolve your complaint.

Where to complain?

Whichever bank you are a customer of, you can complain to the concerned employee by taking the Grievance Redressal Number of that bank. Apart from this, you can also tell your problem by calling the toll free number of the bank. Some banks also provide facilities to lodge online complaint.

For example, customers of State Bank of India (SBI) can complain about any branch employee on toll free number 1800-425-3800 /1-800-11-22-11. Whereas, if you are a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), then you can contact the customer care number or appellate authority of the bank.
