Registration of health insurance of Rs 5 lakh for every family in Rajasthan, registration started

Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma said that camps will be set up for registration under this scheme.

Health Insurance: Registration has started for the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan is the first state in the country to bring such a scheme. The Rajasthan government had announced the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme in this year’s budget.

Ashok Gehlot tweeted, ‘Registration for the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme of the Rajasthan Government to make cashless mediclaim scheme available to all people in the state started on Thursday. This is one of our biggest healthcare schemes, which aims to provide medical relief to all the residents of Rajasthan. ‘




First state of the country

The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan has become the first state in the country where every family will get health insurance up to five lakh rupees annually. People should register and take advantage of cashless facility for treatment.

Registration by 10 April

Rajasthan’s Medical and Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma said that camps will be set up for registration under this scheme. By 10 April, registration camps will be organized at the gram panchayat level and at the ward level in the urban area. Even after this, the registration work will continue till April 30. People of the state can also register themselves online or through e-Mitra.

Under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, every family of the state will be given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year in government and private hospitals. In this health insurance cover, 1576 packages and procedures for treatment of various diseases have been included.

The cost of treatment related to OPD, examination, medicines and related package of 15 days after discharge will also be included in the free treatment before the patient is admitted to the hospital.

In the earlier health insurance scheme, people eligible for National Food Security Act and Socio Economic Census were getting the benefit of the scheme. Now according to the budget announcement of the Chief Minister, the contractual workers, small and marginal farmers of the state will get the benefit of free medical facility. Along with this, all other families of the state will get 50 percent of the insurance premium i.e. Rs 850 for free medical facility up to Rs 5 lakh per annum.
