Property Tax Rebate Those who have paid the entire outstanding property tax by the Haryana government till July 31, will get the benefit of 10 percent rebate on property tax for the financial year 2021-22. A notification in this regard has been issued by the state government.
A big relief has been announced by the Haryana government to lakhs of people from 6 districts including Gurugram, Faridabad, adjacent to the country’s capital Delhi. Those who have paid the entire outstanding property tax on behalf of the Haryana government till July 31, will get the benefit of 10 percent rebate on property tax for the financial year 2021-22. A notification in this regard has been issued by the state government. Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja said that it is mandatory to deposit property tax for all types of buildings and vacant plots located within the limits of the Municipal Corporation.
Mukesh Kumar Ahuja also said that those who do not pay property tax on time are charged interest at the rate of 18 per cent per annum under the rule. Along with this, action can also be taken to cut, seal and auction the sewer-water connection of the defaulter property.
Mukesh Ahuja said that property tax bill and online payment facility is available on the website of Municipal Corporation Gurugram. Make the payment online by visiting the website www.mcg.gov.in. With this, while people will be saved time and money, on the other hand the risk and effect of corona virus infection can also be reduced.
Apart from this, arrangements have also been made for payment through demand draft, debit and credit cards by visiting the civic facilitation centers located in Sector-34 and Sector-42 offices in front of the Civil Hospital of Municipal Corporation Gurugram. An amount up to five thousand rupees is taken in the form of cash by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram in the civic facilities.
