The Excise Department in its recent order said that the operators or owners of hotels, clubs and restaurants as well as partners and directors of firms running such establishments will have to submit their police verification.

In this case, a senior official says that in view of the alleged irregularities related to the Excise Policy 2021-22, a precautionary step has been taken to see whether the retail liquor trade in Delhi is affected by any unwanted person.
