Vehicles Speed limits on road: Speed limits set for drivers driving on these roads; Know at what speed you can drive the vehicle.

In Gurugram, the mobility wing of GMDA in collaboration with the District Road Safety Committee has announced speed control of vehicles on the main roads of the city, NH-48, CCTV, over speed, road safety rules, underpasses and black spots. Speed limit has been fixed for vehicles in the city.

Road Speed limits: The Mobility Wing of GMDA in collaboration with the District Road Safety Committee has fixed the vehicle speed on the main roads of the city. The traffic police will also cooperate in the plan made for this. The mobility wing of GMDA will install fixed speed boards on the roads of more than 250 km area of GMDA in the city. CCTVs are already installed in these areas. Apart from this, area wise action will be taken against those driving beyond the prescribed speed. Work regarding this will be started this month itself. GMDA has given work order to an agency regarding this plan. Not only will there be relief from jams and heavy traffic on most of the roads in the city, it is also being claimed that there will be a reduction in road accidents. Speed is already fixed on NH-48. Here the speed limit for light vehicles is 100 kilometers and for heavy vehicles is 80 kilometers. The speed of both types of vehicles on the service road adjacent to it is 50 and 40 km. Challan will also be issued for over speeding.

Speed limit boards will be installed at 210 points

210 points in the city have been identified in the survey conducted under this plan. Sign boards of 1920 speed limit will be installed here. On MG Road of the city, the speed limit has been set at 50 Km for light vehicles and 40 Km for heavy vehicles. Apart from this, the speed in the Old City is very low. Due to congestion, the speed here has been kept at 40 for light vehicles and 30 for heavy vehicles. It leaves the city via Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Apart from this, the speed of 100 and 80 is already fixed on Sohna Elevated. There is more movement of vehicles in the new sectors of the city from 58 to 115. Here too, under the rules of road safety, the speed of light vehicles has been fixed at 60 Km and for heavy vehicles at 50 Km.

Speed of underpass also fixed

There are 14 underpasses of GMDA and NHAI in the city. Speed has been fixed for this also. The speed here is 30 for all types of vehicles. There is movement of around five lakh vehicles in the city every day. There is movement of around three lakh 10 thousand vehicles on Sarhaul border. There is a movement of around one lakh at Khaidkidaula toll. There is a daily movement of around 50 thousand vehicles at Gurgaon-Faridabad toll. Apart from this, there is movement of around 60 thousand vehicles on Mehrauli border and Kapashera of MG Road.

Roads like Sarhaul Border, Khaidkidaula, MG Road, Sheetala Mata Road, Old Railway Road, New Railway Road, Khandsa Road, Pataudi Road, Basai Chowk, Madanpuri, Bus Stand Road, Old Mehrauli Road, Sohna Road, Palam Vihar, Udyog Vihar etc. But it is where there is jam and heavy traffic every day.
