Patna Durga Puja Traffic Advisory: On the occasion of Durga Puja, roads in Patna will be closed for vehicles on a large scale from October 9 to October 11. Patna Police has released the Dussehra traffic plan.
Patna Durga Puja Traffi Advisory: In view of Durga Puja and Dussehra in Patna, entry of vehicles will be banned on many roads of the city, while no-entry boards will be hung for big vehicles on many routes. In view of the Durga Puja fair from 9th to 11th October, the administration has issued a traffic advisory for people coming to and going from Patna and those visiting the puja pandals. 389 big puja pandals have been made in Patna this year, while the number of small pandals is more than a thousand. Vehicles will not go from Income Tax roundabout towards Dakbungla square from 9th October to 11th October. Heavy vehicles (buses and trucks) will also not be allowed to enter Patna city from Didarganj for three days.
Traffic DSP-2 Anil Kumar said that the restrictions will be in place from 9 to 11 October. During the immersion, the route will be changed at many places on 12 October as well. Major changes have been made in the traffic around Dakbungla Chauraha, Income Tax Golambar and Kotwali. Vehicles going from Nehru Path to Patna Junction, Old New Bypass will not be allowed to go to Dakbungla.
Vehicles going to Karbighiya will go from Income Tax Galambar via Veerchand Patel Path via R Block and GPO. Vehicles going to Gandhi Maidan via Nehru Path via Dak Bungalow will go from Voltos Mor via Vidyapati Marg and Chhajjubaag. The road from Hanuman Temple to Machhua Toli will also remain closed for general vehicles.
Vehicles will not run below Dumra Chowki and Jagdev Path in Saguna area. DSP has appealed to people not to park vehicles on the road. He has warned that the traffic police will confiscate the vehicles parked on the road with challan.
Vehicle movement will also remain closed between West Gate and East Gate on Ashoka Rajpath. Traffic will also remain diverted on Khazanchi Road. Entry of vehicles from Dinkar Golambar to Khazanchi Road on Nala Road will be prohibited. However, vehicles will run from the other side on Khazanchi Road.
